WHAT'S REALLY HAPPENING
Columbus State Education Association Newsletter of September 26, 2003
DEADLINE FOR PAYROLL DEDUCTION OF DUES
If you intend to have your dues deducted from each paycheck throughout the academic year rather than paying a lump-sum payment, you need to fill out your membership form IMMEDIATELY. We need your form by Friday, September 27. The Payroll office needs your authorization for payroll deduction in time to compute the amount so it goes into effect on the first pay of Autumn Quarter (October 15).
Please mark the top box on the form (CONTINUING PAYROLL DEDUCTION). This will save the Association time next year by allowing your dues to be deducted without requiring a new authorization next school year.
If you do not yet have a form or have misplaced the one you received, please contact one of your union officers or your Association representative, all of whom are listed below.
This deadline does not apply if you intend to pay your dues for the year in a single, lump-sum payment. However, we encourage you to pay your dues as soon as possible since your benefits as an Association member do not begin until your dues are paid.
