RATIFICATION VOTE
CSEA will conduct a vote early next week to ratify its first contract with Columbus State.
Discussion of contract provisions and voting on the tentative agreement will take place Monday, March 10 and Tuesday, March 11, from 3-6 p.m. on both days at a campus location to be announced.
Members of the Negotiating Team will review contract articles and respond to questions about the agreements covering all aspects of the proposed agreement.
Only CSEA members will be permitted to attend, discuss contract provisions, and vote at the meetings. New memberships will be accepted at the door. The tentative agreement includes a provision for payroll deduction of union dues.
As noted in a joint Association-administration email issued from Dr. Moeller's office last Wednesday night, CSEA reached tentative agreement on a contract between the Columbus State Education Association and College's administration after nearly 20 hours of bargaining over two days last week. The Negotiating Team intends to recommend that the membership accept the proposed agreement.
CSEA has agreed with the administration not to discuss specific aspects of the proposals until our respective constituencies have the opportunity to consider the proposed agreement privately. Neither the Executive Committee nor the Negotiating Team will be answering questions about any details of the tentative agreement until the March 10 and March 11 membership meetings.
