The following individuals were elected to serve as new or replacement Association Representatives:

Sherry Crawford-Eyen (Mathematics), Adam Moskowitz (Social & Behavioral Sciences), and Martha Sucheston (Biological & Physical Sciences) were elected to serve as delegates for the Central OEA/NEA and OEA Representative Assemblies.

.BUT THERE'S ONE MORE VOTE NECESSARY

There was a 3-way tie for the remaining Association Representative position. A run-off vote will be held this Thursday, October 19, and Friday, October 20, to select among Tim Davis (Humanities), W. David Hall (Developmental Education) and Bob Mergel (Construction Sciences) for that position.

Voting will take place in the Communication Skills conference room, 421 Nestor Hall, from 2-5 PM Thursday and from 9 AM-noon Friday. Please mark your calendar and make a point of helping us to conclude balloting on this important union role.

Association Representatives will meet next week to select new Senior Association Representatives, who will serve on the Executive Committee.

We offer our congratulations to those who were elected and our appreciation to all who stood for election. Our growing Association depends on the willingness of members to share in the work of building CSEA

DID YOU RECEIVE YOUR $500?

Every full-time faculty member was supposed to receive a one-time $500 payment on the first regular paycheck after July 1. Faculty who taught Summer Quarter received this payment on their July 15 pay voucher, but we have learned of one faculty member who did not teach Summer Quarter but did not receive the extra pay on his October 15 voucher.

If you did not teach Summer Quarter, please check your most recent pay voucher to make sure that it reflects this $500 payment, which the CSEA Bargaining Team negotiated as part of contract talks earlier this year. If the voucher does not reflect this payment, please notify Darrell Minor (x5310) and contact HR to correct the error.
